Mirtha Ferrer, M.S.
Mirtha Ferrer is Vice President of Creative Services for Virtually Better, Inc. For more than 12 years, she has served as Creative Director and developed more than 15 Phase I/II SBIR/STTRs. She is an expert in the adaptation of clinical ideas into content, design, and interface solutions in virtual reality and interactive games, having successfully developed more than 50 different virtual environments and technology-based projects since 2001.
She is the director of Virtually Better’s development team that includes programmers and digital designers. She is also responsible for budget and production schedules of all projects. As an expert in Information Design and Technology (IDT) she is the technology lead responsible for creating information architecture for complex interactive projects from initial design to development to final evaluation of computer systems.
Prior to joining Virtually Better, Mirtha Ferrer was a senior project manager at Delta Air Lines where she led the technology team responsible for program development of DATC approved pilot training courses. She was responsible for projects from concept to completion including budgets, production schedules and development personnel. Ms. Ferrer’s background includes specialization in interactive narratives with a unique art background, including exhibitions locally and internationally. She has a BFA from the University of New Orleans, an M.S. from Georgia Tech, and is fluent in Spanish and English.
