Virtually Better is committed to creating effective virtual reality environments for health care, training, and corporate clients. These environments have significant advantages in that they allow exposure based treatments to be conducted in the safety and comfort of an office setting. Numerous studies have indicated that these virtual environments utilized in a therapeutic manner are very effective tools for treating a variety of disorders. Our virtual environments are used to treat fear of flying, fear of public speaking, fear of heights, and fear of storms. Our environments are also used to facilitate job interviewing skills, physical relaxation, and remediation of chronic pain. We also have environments for substance abuse difficulties associated with nicotine, alcohol, cannabis, and crack-cocaine use. We also specialize in the treatment of PTSD using virtual reality exposure therapy (VRET) with Virtual Vietnam, Virtual Hurricane Katrina, Virtual World Trade Center, and Virtual Iraq.
